Fortnite-Maker Epic Games Lays off 1,000 Staff
Fortnite-maker Epic Games says it is laying off more than 1,000 employees, citing a drop in engagement with its wildly popular online game. The move follows a recent decision to raise the price of Fortnite's in-game currency, V-Bucks, which the company said was necessary to "help pay the bills" amid rising operating costs.
