The Walt Disney Company plans to cut as many as 1,000 jobs in the coming months, its first significant workforce reduction since naming Josh D’Amaro CEO in March 2026. At the end of fiscal 2025, Disney employed roughly 231,000 people worldwide, the majority in part-time roles within theme parks and entertainment operations.
